Account Transfers

Account Transfers

Transfer funds from a savings account to another account — either a different savings account or a loan account — for the same client or a different client.

Prerequisites

  • The source savings account must be active and have sufficient funds
  • The destination account must be active
  • Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that is authorized to make account transfers

Transferring funds

  • Navigate to the savings account you want to transfer funds from
  • Click the menu button in the account actions area
  • Select "More" → "Transfer Funds"
  • Fill in the transfer details:
    • Office: Select the office where the destination client is registered
    • Client: Search for the destination client by typing their name — select from the results
    • Account Type: Choose the type of destination account (savings or loan)
    • Account: Select the specific account to transfer funds into
    • Transaction Date: Set the date of the transfer
    • Amount: Enter the amount to transfer
    • Description: Enter a description for the transfer
  • Click "Submit" to process the transfer

The transfer is processed immediately. You are redirected to the account's transaction history, where the transfer appears as a debit entry.

Transfer limits

The transfer amount cannot exceed the available balance of the source savings account. If you enter an amount greater than the available balance, the form will display a validation error and prevent submission.
